opera at it's base = music and drama, has given rise to operetic/musicals in t.v, cartoons, movies.  Phineas and ferb, disney movies. 

When music is set along side with a dialogue the result is a form that is used frequently through out many genres in film, and t.v.

Using the historical examples of Negro Spirituals, Jazz, and Opera:  Show how...  Music that uses story telling to convey an idea along side with dialogue or set alone has been used frequently throught out many geresw in film, and t.v.
